Day 1: Travel to Volcanoes National Park

Pick up by our company representative who will brief you about the 4 days Rwanda gorilla and Lake Kivu tour. He will later drive you from Kigali airport to Volcanoes National Park which is found in the Northern Province of Rwanda about 2 hours’ drive away from Kigali. Check-in at the lodge to relax, dine and spend a night.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and a visit to Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village

Have breakfast early in the morning and later, head out to Kinigi visitor center for a briefing on dos and don’ts that you should observe while trekking mountain gorillas. He or she will assign you, one gorilla family, to trek in a group of 8 visitors and Volcanoes National Park features 10 habituated groups, each offering a rare experience. The whole adventure can last for you about 2-6 hours and you will be given an hour of magical encounter then you get back to the lodge. Your afternoon will be spent exploring Rwanda’s unique cultures in Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village.
