Day 1: Travel from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park-boat cruise

Your Uganda safari trip will start with an early morning breakfast and after, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park in our 4×4 Safari Van or 4×4 Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof. This safari park is in western Uganda and you will drive from Kampala through Masaka-Mbarara city to Ishaka which takes about 6 hours but lets you make stop visit to Equator crossing for photography or even perform some experiment.

En-route lunch will be offered at Igongo Cultural Centre/wildlife safari lodge at the national park. Upon early arrival, relax while enjoying the general scenic beauty of Queen Elizabeth National Park, sight some wildlife as they pass by then in the afternoon, take part in 2-3 hours’ launch or boat cruise along Kazinga channel.

Day 2: Game drive via Kasenyi track-transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Set out for your early morning game drive through Kasenyi plains in the North to look for leopards, lions, buffaloes, elephants, birds, antelopes and many others. The game drive here may last for 2-3 hours and later, get back to have lunch then later, check out of the lodge.

Drive via Ishasha sector in the south and en-route; enjoy incredible sight of the tree climbing lions plus other savanna dwellers. From Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi, you will take about 3-4 hours driving. Dinner and overnight stay at gorilla lodge of you reserved.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi National Park & Batwa cultural experience

Get the best of gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Enjoy breakfast and later, have your packed lunch and bottled water ready then assemble at park offices for briefing for gorilla tracking rules. Briefing begins at 7:00am and you will be allocated to a gorilla family to trek in a group of 8 visitors.

The actual trek starts at 8:00am and note, this adventure is unpredictable as it may take you 2-6 hours inclusive of 1 hour of magical encounter. Since your primate trek takes you through the rain-forest, expect to see other primates and birds. Get back to the lodge to chill after photography and interacting with endangered mountain gorillas in the wild.

In the evening, your next visit will be Batwa community to learn how the Batwa lived as hunters and gatherers, enjoy their dances, music performances and many more. Dinner and overnight stay at gorilla safari lodge of your preference.
