Day 1: Travel to Volcanoes National Park
Meet your driver-guide at Kigali International Airport who will warmly welcome you and brief you on what your trip is all about. He will then drive you to Volcanoes National Park which is set around Musanze about 2 to 3 hours’ drive from Kigali. Arrive early and check-in at the lodge for relaxation, dinner and a night stay.

Day 2: Mountain gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Commence your day with an early morning breakfast and later, meet the park official at Kinigi visitor center for briefing and to be assigned to a gorilla family. After you will begin trekking mountain gorillas at 8:00 am and this may take about 2-6 hours which varies depending on your speed of hiking, where the gorillas are and the nature of habitat. After you have located where mountain gorillas are, you will have one hour of magical encounter and later, return to the lodge to relax, dine and spend a night.

Day 3: Dian Fossey tomb hike and drive back to Kigali
Rise up early in the morning to have a cup of tea or coffee and later, set off to begin your hike to Dian Fossey tomb site. This will take you about 2 hours and at the tomb site, you will have an in-depth exploration of Dian Fossey’s gorilla conservation journey. Return to check out of the lodge and then drive back to Kigali where you will embark on a quick city tour with a chance to visit Kigali genocide site and nearby local markets.
